Error message is 'state' instead of 'county'

I am working in the UK and using a block of address fields in a form to fulfill the address needs for Stripe. I am using the UK styling of the address fields. If a submitter misses the 'county' field the error message comes up as 'state' missing. This has caused some confusion as submitters are not aware of the dynamic equivalence in the database of state and county.

I guess one workaround would be to generate my own address fields with the appropriate text if the sumbitter makes this error. I am guessing that Stripe would handle that OK.

However it does seem that there could be a detail here i have missed or even something the illustrious Formstack gurus may want to check out. Grateful for any input here.
